Iorfa Assures Lobi Stars Fans Of Better Results Throughout The Season

Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Mr Dominic Iorfa, has given clarifications to fans that management chose Jos township stadium for the club’s current matches because of its closeness to Makurdi, when Aper Aku stadium failed to meet NFF standard during inspection.
Giving an update on the club’s performance to fans as well as to clarify some misinformation from public quarters regarding why the club is currently playing home matches at the Jos township stadium, during a press conference held at Aper Aku stadium Makurdi, Iorfa said government had approved funds and management was already working on the VIP and other areas at the stadium before the visit of the inspecting team with its sanction.
Iorfa who denied allegations that he has frustrated award of contract for repair of the football pitch at the Aper Aku stadium for personal reasons, described such allegations as not just baseless, but meant to set the teaming loving soccer fans of Lobi Stars FC across the country against him.
He explained that what is needed to be done before the pitch could be functional for use was not something that could be done within one or two weeks, stating that a thorough overhaul of the pitch which was repaired in 2007 is needed to be carried out before the pitch could again host matches, and called for patience.
He commended the state government for providing adequate funding to the club and on time right from last soccer season when the club had battled relegation, adding that the support has made possible results being produced by the club which he noted is making the entire Benue fans happy and proud.
The Vice Chairman of the club maintained with satisfaction the performance of the boys since the beginning of the season, stating that what people want to see in football was results and assured that Lobi Stars will continue to make people of the state and its supporters across the country proud by working tirelessly to maintain its position on the league table.
He charged players to be passionate about their chosen career for them to continue to give fans of the club across the country better results arguing that football is about result.
The Vice Chairman/ CEO of Lobi Stars who said many people did not expect the club to be where it is today after escaping relegation last season, while acknowledging the support given the club by Benue people, commended the Benue State Government for adequately funding the club.
While calling for prayers from supporters and well-wishers of the club for it to emerge top on the league table, Iorfa charged players to redouble their efforts to continue the lead on the log.
