Ahead of the educational, agricultural and local government investment partnership, Yobe State advance team has arrived Morocco.
A statement signed by the Director of Media Affairs to the governor, Mamman Mohammad, said the delegation led by Governor Mai Mala Buni, would explore areas of investment for employment generation and wealth creation.
According to him, agriculture is one of the priority areas of the Buni administration, driving economic recovery, especially among the returnee communities.
AljazirahNigeria recalls that last year, the state government launched a massive agricultural empowerment programme with over 100 tractors, hand tillers, harvesters, sprayers, fertilizer and many other farm implements.
Similarly, the state government declared an emergency on education.
The partnership between Yobe State and the Moroccan government will boost entrepreneurial education in schools across the state.
The advance team was led by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Baba Malam Wali, with the Commissioners of Agriculture, Mustapha Ali Goniri, Higher Education, Professor Bello Kawuwa, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ibrahim Adamu Jajere, Chairman, Damaturu Local Government, Bukar Adamu, Dr Salim Umar Muhammad and Mamman Mohammed.
