Insecurity: Service Chiefs, Senate In Closed Meeting

Barely 24 hours after the National  Security Adviser  Mohammed Babagana Monguno raised alarm over the deteriorating protocol in the presidency and the renewed attack by Boko Haram insurgents and bandits in the North-West and the North-East,   the Senate Adhoc Committee on Nigeria security challenges entered a closed door meeting with the service chiefs on the “need to restructure, review and reorganize the current security architecture.

The meeting is ongoing at the National Assembly. Details of the meeting remain sketchy as at the time of filling this report as Journalists were barred from entering.

This meeting is coming on the heel of the statement credited to the presidency that President Muhammadu Buhari is not contemplating the removal of the service Chiefs.
