In a bid to tackle rising insecurity in Ondo State, the police command has conducted a two-day intensive training for its officers on crime mapping and prevention strategies.

The training, aimed at enhancing crime detection, came amid increasing incidents of kidnapping, particularly in Akure North Local Government Area.

In a statement, the  Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, said officers were trained on the use of modern equipment, technological crime detection techniques and strategic resource deployment within their Area of Responsibility, AoR.
