INEC Laments 10,500 Unclaimed PVC In Delta Community

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, residents in Uvwie  who were yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards PVC, have being urged to come and claim their cards at the various INEC office.

Mr Osaze Kingsley, INEC Electoral Officer in Uvwie, gave the advice in his office on Friday

Kingsley said that the electoral body had been working hard to ensure that those who registered got their permanent voter’s card prior to elections.

He said that roughly 452 cards had been collected so far in the area and called on residents to be patient with them.

Mr Osaze stated that INEC staff would be going to the various wards to distribute the permanent voter’s cards soon.

 He stated that he had a stakeholders meeting with the leaders of the various political parties in the  area, informing them of the ward to ward distribution of the permanent voter’s cards.

Mr Osaze said that Uvwie  is a metropolitan area and had a huge population and appealed to the residents to be patient with them.

On his part, Mr Nwabuzor Dumbiri, said that some persons were yet to collect their permanent voter’s card because of double registrations, adding that  in order for them to meet up with the task of distribution of the  cards, he and his colleagues had worked on Christmas day.
