INEC Begins Distribution Of Sensitive Materials In Ebonyi


The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Ebonyi State, has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials ahead of Saturday’s general elections.

The distribution of the sensitive materials to all 13 local government areas was done late hours of Thursday afternoon.

AljazirahNigeria Correspondent reports that the exercise was done at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Ebonyi state branch, amid tight security.

Various political parties and their Agents were represented during the distribution.

Resident Electoral Commissione(REC) in the state, Mrs Pauline Onyeka Ugochi, said the distribution of the materials would get to the 13 local government Areas of the state on time before the commencement of the election.

Onyeka said the materials, including ballot paper, EC8 series and result sheets, would be redistributed to polling centres.

She added that registration area centres, RAC, would be activated on Friday.

The presidential and national assembly elections have been slated to hold on Saturday, 25th February, 2023.
