I’ll Transform Gombe To Modern City If I’m Elected – Mailantarki

Gombe state gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, has promised to develop the state to become a modern city if given the mandate.

Mailantarki, who was a former member of House of Representatives Representing Gombe, Kwami, Funakaye, stated this during the inauguration of the NNPP Gubernatorial Campaign Council, in Billiri town of Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State, stressing that he wouldn’t fail the people of Gombe State if he becomes governor.

He explained that his administration would also ensure that education sector received serious attention, while promising to declare state of emergency to make sure every child has access to a sound and quality education.

According to him, under his leadership, education would be the right of all child, irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnicity, because they are the leaders of tomorrow.

He said, “I promise to pay off all West African Examination Council (WAEC), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Examination Council (NECO) fees for all Gombe students for the period of my tenure as Gombe state governor.”

Mailantarki, also assured that he would build good structures and ensure that the environment is conducive for learning, by providing the needed instructional materials, right motivation for all teachers and “we will bring back our scholarship scheme to support tertiary students,” he added.

Mailantarki, also appealed to all NNPP supporters not only in Gombe to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and elect NNPP candidates at all levels because “we will not disappoint Nigerians if you vote us into office in 2023,” he said.

In his remark the state party chairman, Maikano Abdullahi Umar, thanked Mailantarki for providing N228 million for the house-to-house campaign, as supporters go out to mobilise votes for all NNPP candidates.

Abdullahi said with the calibre of bigwigs from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), joining the NNPP in the state, the party would sweep the polls.
