I Dumped APC Because Of Injustice Meted On Me – Wadada

By David Christopher, Lafia

A former member, House of Representatives for Keffi, Karu and Kokona Federal Constituency Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has explained that the demonstration of injustice, lack of level playing ground, manipulations and other undemocratic tendencies meted on him by the powers that be in his former political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, informed his decision to withdrew his membership and seek for another platform which is the Social Democratic party (SDP).

Addressing members of the press after a political rally organised in his honour in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Monday, which kept the ancient town to a standstill, Hon. Wadada stated that having been treated in that unfortunate manner he and his teaming supporters as well as his political associates, he decided to first withdrew from the Senatorial primary election and later his membership of the party since his aspiration was not meant for him, but for the people.

“I wrote the party APC notifying them that I withdrew from participation in the just concluded primary election. My withdrawal was vindicated because from that day, it took eight days for the kangaroo primary election to be conducted. That which happened under the APC cannot stand before the law anywhere in the world.

“Having known that general elections is about the people, I decided to try it the other way in order to change the narrative. The nonsensical and shenanigans that happened affected quite a number of people, and I am a leader that goes along with my people,” he stated.

Wadada further alleged that in order not only to allow him participate in the primary elections, but also humiliate him as the original delegates list was doctored  by the powers that be within the party in order to pave ways for their favoured aspirant to emerge as such he has no option than to opt out from the party.

Wadada stated that after careful studies of political situation in the state which has no room for any form of social justice for him and his teaming supporters, they decided to change their platform by joining SDP where they have now received an overwhelming and encouraging welcome as well as acceptance.

On his winning chances in his new political platform the SDP, Wadada expressed the optimism that it is quite bright given the significant amount of acceptance and encouraging support of the people from across the Senatorial zone which would aid his victory.

He however, appealed to his teaming supporters from across the constituency to continue to sustain the tempo and also be responsible, calm in all their conducts with a view to continue to earn more support from other people to enable him win and provide them with a result oriented representations in the Senate.

He then advised him teaming up to also endeavor to obtain their permanent voters cards (PVCs) with a view to enable them change their Civic responsibilities by voting for him and all other creadble and reliable political office seekers that would serve them better in returns for their mandates.

The Senatoria hopeful who expressed his gratitude to the SDP for the rare display of accommodation and acceptance further expressed his confidence of winning the election come 2023 especially now that there is a significant rise of political awareness amongst the people that would guide them to only vote for Creadble and reliable candidates not for any political affiliations.

“With the significant rise in the political awareness cutting across all segments of the people it is quite optimistic that the people would see the good qualities in me and with my other political associates to give us their votes to represent them in the political positions we are aspiring”, he stressed.
