How Gunmen Abducted Abuja Traditional Ruler

By Ismaila Jimoh, Abuja

Gunmen stormed Kuchibuyi, a remote community on the outskirts of Kubwa in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory on wee hour of Monday and kidnapped the district head of the area, Malam Isiaka Dauda.

The traditional ruler was abducted in his private residence, located some meters away from his palace during the attack which took place between 12am and 1 am.

According to residents who spoke on the unfortunate incident,  gunmen numbering about 10 fired two gunshots on arrival, which alerted the community’s vigilantes in the community, but because of the sophisticated weapon in their possession  the invaders were able to force their way into a room within the compound of the traditional ruler where they found him, abducted him without much resistance and took him away.

It would be recalled three months ago, that traditional ruler of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the FCT, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi, was abducted from his palace.

Shamidozhi will later regain freedom after 18 days in captivity.  Efforts to reach out to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer prove abortive as at the time of filing this report.
