The newly crowned Unity Cup champions will arrive in Moscow in the early hours of Monday in almost a four-hour flight from London to Moscow.
The team is making the journey to Russia via Morocco, continuing their preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The match, set to take place at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, marks the first-ever senior-level meeting between Nigeria and Russia.
Head coach Eric Chelle and his squad recently concluded their participation in the 2025 Unity Cup invitational tournament in London, where they emerged champions. Nigeria defeated Jamaica 5-4 in a penalty shootout at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium after a 2-2 draw in regulation time to secure the title.
