Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board, has fixed January 30 as registration deadline for all the state intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Director-General, D-G, of the board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar, made this known in a statement issued in Dutse, the state capital, on Tuesday, by the board spokesman, Habibu Yusuf.
Umar, said the new deadline was as a result of adjustment by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, that directed state pilgrims welfare boards to remit all collections by 1st of February.
He said that the board has so far exhausted over 40 per cent of its total allocation for this year’s Hajj since the commencement of the registration in Sept. 2024.
The DG urged intending pilgrims in the state to utilize the opportunity and make deposit for the Hajj before the new deadline so as to benefit from the board’s outstanding services in Hajj operations.
Intending pilgrims were earlier directed by the board pay N8.4m deposit pending the official announcement of this year’s Hajj fare by the NAHCON
NAHCON has allocated 1,518 seats to the state for the 2025 Hajj. NAN
