FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said that it is working towards resolving on going delay being experience by pligrims over the issue of Nusuk Cards as soon as possible.
Board Director, Malam Kadiri Edah gave this assurance on Wednesday while addressing the pligrims over the issue in Makkah.
He appealed for patience and understanding from the affected pligrims, saying that responsibility for issuing the Nusuk Cards lies with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Edah promised the pligrims that they will soon recieve their cards soon as the Board is in engagement with relevant authorities on matter.
Nusuk Cards is an essential digital identification required for access to the Grand Mosque (Haram) and other key religious sites in Makkah and Madinah, but many of the pligrims are yet to receive the physical copies of their cards which led to the challenges being experience in accessing the Haram, it was gathered.
While some have resorted to using downloaded soft copies via the official Saudi Nusuk app, but it has has subjected them to delays and repeated verification procedures at entry points.
Hajj 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 9, corresponding to 8th to 13th Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH. The rites will begin in Mina, continue with the pivotal Day of Arafah on June 5, and peak with the Eid al-Adha celebrations on June 6. Pilgrims will then observe the ritual stoning during the Days of Tashreeq from June 7 to 9. The Saudi authorities have encouraged pilgrims to use the Nusuk platform to streamline their Hajj activities and enhance their spiritual journey.
