Group Urges Herders Not To Destroy Farmers’ Crops

 National President of Kullen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria ,KACRAN, Hon Mohammad Khali Bello, has called l the herders to avoid destroying farmers’ crops in Yobe, Nigeria at large during the ongoing harvesting season.

A statement signed by the National President Hon Mohd Khalil Bello, which was made available to AljazirahNigeria in Damaturu, said the association emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence between herders and farmers, urging its members to respect the hard work of agricultural communities.

Bello commended Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for his peace initiative, which has brought together stakeholders, including pastoralists leaders, security operatives, Local Government Chairmen, and Emirs, to find lasting solutions to the farmers/herders conflicts in the state.

He also appealed to its members to be law-abiding citizens and to support government and security forces in maintaining peace and unity across the country.

He added that, ” We encourage all pastoralists to conduct their activities in the most peaceful manner possible, it’s our duty to ensure that our practices do not incite conflict but instead to contribute to a harmonious Coexistence”, said Bello.

He also urged pastoralists to extend maximum support and cooperation to Yobe state government authorities.
