The kebbi state Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu says, the security to life and property of the citizenry remain the utmost priority of incumbent administration.

Furthermore, premium has been placed on the provision of logistics and necessary equipment to security agencies to waging total war against banditry and all acts of criminality until normality and tranquility are attained.

The Kebbi State Chief Executive vowed that all students and teachers abducted by bandits from the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri have been rescued fully while additional security would be provided to all institutions of learning.

Governor  Bagudu affirmed this while addressing parents, staff and students of the College Friday during an on-the-spot assessment of the situation on ground and to sympathise with the school authorities on the unfortunate incident.

Gov, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu on behalf of the President Muhammadu Buhari offered deep sympathy to the staff and students of the College and commended all security services in the state for their quick response which led to the rescue of the abducted students and teachers.

The governor showed appreciation to parents and guardians for remaining calm and courageous on the matter, as well as sustaining prayers to God for his intervention.

Before departure from Yauri, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu visited the Yauri General Hospital to sympathize with victims of attack by bandits along Yauri-Anaba-Kontagora road Friday during which he off-set their medical bills.

He also paid homage to the Emir of Yauri at his Palace and told him that, the state government has increased security presence in the area with further support to volunteers and vigilante groups.

In response, the Emir, Dr. Muhammadu Zayyanu Abdullahi had commended the governor for placing priority on security matters, urging him to deploy more security personnel to Yauri – Kongatora axis towards curtailing acts of kidnapping along the way.

In separate remarks, the Chairman Parents-Teachers Association who is the member, Kebbi State House of Assembly representing Ngaski Constituency Adamu B.B B/Yauri, the Chairman Ngaski Local Government, Abdullahi Buhari Warrah, the School Principal Mallam Mustapha Yusuf as well as parents and guardians of students expressed gratitude to security agencies for their prompt response to rescuing the abducted staff and students.

They affirmed support to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his reassurance of bringing back the abductees hale and hearty.

Prayers were offered by Muslims and Christians for peace, security, tranquility and God’s guidance to leaders and the citizens.

The governor was accompanied on the visit by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff Government House, acting Head of Service, Commissioners, Special Adviser Security, House of Assembly Members, the State Commissioner of Police, Director SSS and heads of other security agencies. Birnin Kebbi hailed Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu as he drove along in his convoy, cheering him for the successful rescue of some of the students and neutralizing significant number of the bandits.
