Gov Ortom Mourns Olajide, Slain Younger Brother Of Sowore

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, has condemned in strong terms the killing of Mr. Olajide Sowore, younger brother of Mr. Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters by unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.

The governor who made the condemnation while reacting to the gruesome murder of the young man who was shot near Okada, in Edo state on his way from Igbinedion University where he was studying pharmacy.

In a condolence massage, the governor discribed the death of the deceased as a colossal lose not only to his immediate family, but to the entire nation.

He further blamed the gruesome murder of Mr. Olajide, and many others who have met their untimely death to worsening insecurity across the country,


He called on the Federal Government to rise up to the challenge of providing security of lives and property to Nigerians while expressing the hope that security agencies will apprehend those responsible for the dastardly act and be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Governor Ortom, equally prayed God to grant the soul of Mr. Olajide Sowore eternal rest and his immediate family the fortitude to bear the painful lose.
