The Executive Secretary, Yobe State Scholarship Board, Dr. Kagu Abubakar, has confirmed that Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved the sponsorship of another 19 graduates from the University of Maiduguri to Law School.
The state government has paid N475,000 for each of the graduates as tuition and a Laptop to support their studies.
A statement by the Executive Secretary, Scholarship Board, Dr. Kagu Abubakar, said the gesture by the governor was to ensure that no Yobe indigene is denied the opportunity of attending law school as a result of lack of funds.
According to him, the gesture is also aimed at strengthening the capacity of the state’s manpower in a critical area of human resources.
He enjoined the beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of the state and ensure that they worked harder to justify the confidence that the governor has on them.
