In a move to provide a comfortable living environment for top government officials, Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has initiated a comprehensive renovation of the State Executive Quarters, also known as Commissioners Village, in Makurdi.
The renovation, according to a statement yesterday in Makurdi, which is expected to be completed within six months, is being supervised by the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Urban Development, Tiza Imojime.
The statement said the project is part of Governor Alia’s efforts to improve infrastructure and promote comfortable living conditions for government officials to enhance their productivity and service delivery to the people.
It added that Alia’s administration had been focused on transforming Benue State with various initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth, security and social development.
The statement noted that the governor would continue to work towards his vision for a greater Benue.
