Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has denied allegations that he is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Governor Alia, in a statement yesterday signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, described the report as “fake news” and “yellow journalism” by Sahara Reporters.

He noted that as an active participant in the affairs of the APC and had consistently shown loyalty to the party, he has no plans  of leaving its fold.

The governor recalled that he was among the governors who recently endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the APC sole candidate ahead of the 2027 presidential election, describing the media report as contradicting the narrative of a strained relationship with the presidency.

He also dismissed claims of crisis within the APC leadership in Benue State, stating that the party is performing its functions effectively under the chairmanship of Benjamin Omale.

The governor urged readers and the general public to disregard the fake news report and rely on credible sources of information, assuring that he would continue to remain in APC under whose platform Benue people elected him.
