Fund Utilisation: ESCET Receives Ethics Compliance Award

The Management of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Enugu has been awarded  the third best Ethics Compliance Award for proper utilization of fund in the Institution.

A press release signed by the Public Relations Officer, Chinwe Ani, revealed that the award was given when the team from the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation (CESVO) visited the Management of the College at the College Council Chambers on Friday.

CESVO is an International Non-governmental Organization(NGO) aimed at exposing corruption, promoting ethical and value leadership, providing ethical education and self value orientation of global citizen.

The Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Ethicist (Prince) Salih Musa Yakubu  in his remarks stated that among the ten State Colleges of Education in Nigeria selected for the assessment, ESCET came third. He commended the Provost, Dr. Osondu Eze and his Management Team for their prudence in insuring  proper utilization of Tetfund projects and other revenues for the Institution which earned them this award.  

He maintained that the Provost and his team has successfully passed their workplace Ethical Leadership Performance test as an Ethical upright public servants in Nigeria after the organization’s  annual independent secret assessment program to 80 Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria for 2020/2021 academic year. He however, urged them to keep it up.

The provost, Dr. Osondu Eze in his response, thanked the representative of the organization for the honour bestowed on him and his Management. He also urged them not to relent in upholding the already established values and integrity which the organization is known for.

The high point of the event was the presentation of Professional Ethics Compliance Award to the Provost, D. Osondu Eze; Deputy,  Provost, Dr. Obiota Anidi: Registrar, Dr. Grouoson-Paul Okechukwu; Bursar, Mr. Magnus Ugwoke; College Librarian, Mrs. Ebere Chukwu; Director of Works, Engr. Festus Ozoemena,  Director Academic Planning, Mr. Joseph Ona; Dean, Students Affairs, Dr. Oby Otiji and Head, Procurement Unit, Mrs. Chinwe Udeonu.
