Former Iranian president Rafsanjani dies at 82

Former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has died in Tehran at the age of 82, Iranian state media says
The report on Sunday said that Rafsanjani had been hospitalised in the Iranian capital died of cardiac arrhythmia, before his demise.
The ex-president was one of the architects of the Islamic Revolution that deposed the shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, in 1979 and established a religious state.
He served as president between 1989 and 1997.
His remains will be buried according to Moslem rites.
