First Lady Declares Open African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship  Today

 First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, will declare open the much-awaited 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship ,AWVCC25, today, Thursday, in the Federal Capital Territory. Sixteen clubs from across the continent will compete for top honors in the prestigious tournament.

The Nigeria Customs Service ,NCS, had earlier announced that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, would serve as the Grand Patron of the championship. From all indications, she will be present at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, to officially declare the tournament open.

Excitement is building in Abuja as preparations reach their final stage. A technical meeting was held on Wednesday night, during which organizers reaffirmed their readiness to host a successful tournament.

Hosted by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation and the Nigeria Customs Service ,NCS, the championship will run from April 1- 14 at the multipurpose sports hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

The event promises to be a showcase of top-tier volleyball talent from across the continent
