Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri CON of Adamawa State has been nominated for the prestigious Infrastructure Development Award for breaking the jinx of underdevelopment that characterized the tenure of past administrations in the State.
This award brings to two the total number of similar Awards bagged by ebullient leader under two national governments.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humashi Wonosikou indicated that the recognition which is coming for the second time is an acknowledgement of his outstanding achievements in transforming Adamawa State’s infrastructural landscape.
According to the statement, the award organized by the Best Strategic Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, honors exceptional leaders who have demonstrated commitment to infrastructural development and improving lives of their citizens.
The statement read in part, “Governor Fintiri’s nomination is a testament to his administration’s tireless efforts to revitalize critical sectors such as roads, bridges, healthcare, education, and water supply.
“His vision has resulted in unprecedented growth and development of Adamawa State. The first recognition was during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor Fintiri was reported to have expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a “perfect Sallah present”. The statement further intimated that the governor had dedicated the Award to the people of Adamawa State and reiterated his commitment to infrastructural revolution in the state, saying, “we are determined to leave no stone unturned in our quest to transform Adamawa State into a model for infrastructural development in Nigeria.”
The statement further indicated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be presenting the award on Saturday, July 6th, at the State House in Abuja in recognition of Governor Fintiri’s outstanding contributions to physical development.
