Monday’s three-match slate at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup concludes with a Group D meeting between Flamengo and Esperance de Tunis.
Still in mid-season, Flamengo are red-hot heading into their opening match of the tournament. The Rio de Janeiro club are unbeaten in eight matches across all competitions, most recently thumping Fortaleza 5-0 to maintain their perch atop the Brazilian Serie A standings.
They face an Esperance side in arguably even better form, as the Tunisian champions finished their 2024-25 campaign on an 11-match undefeated streak.
With both teams playing great football, this match could deliver fireworks.
Flamengo, Esperance match will take place at Lincoln Financial Field, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“The Linc” is the long-time home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles and is a frequent host venue for international football, with matches from several editions of the CONCACAF Gold Cup having being held there, as well as games in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup, 2016 Copa America Centenario, and high-profile friendlies.
The match will kick off 3:am Nigerian time in the early hours of Tuesday, 17 June, 2025.
