Female Bandit Arrested With 991 Rounds Of Live Ammunition, AK 47

Zamfara police command has arrested notorious bandits, bandit’s collaborators and informants with other suspects and recover ten assorted AK-47 rifles with magazines containing one hundred and forty three rounds of live ammunition. 


The state commissioner of police Ayuba Elkanah has revealed in a press briefing Friday.


Among the arrested suspects is a lady Fatima Lawwali, aged 30 of Kauran Namoda local Government Area of Zamfara state who specializes in supplying arms and ammunition to Bandits in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina and Niger States.

 She was arrested in connection with criminal conspiracy, armed Robbery, Kidnapping and arms dealings. 

Exhibits recovered from her were 991 rounds of special ammunitions and one AK-47 Riffle. The Suspect was arrested at Gada biyu Gusau metropolis the state capital while conveying the exhibits from Dabagi Village in Sokoto State to be delivered to a notorious bandit’s kingpin called Ado Alero who has been terrorizing Zamfara and neighbouring states.

A 22 year old suspected rapist Mohammed Jamilu was also arrested while attempting to rape a 4 years old A’isha Buhari.

Several other bandits were arrested by the command in respect to various crimes ranging from Posession of Indian hemp, attempted murder and cattle rustlers operating with over one hundred motorcycles, rustling over two hundred and forty cows belonging to different individuals.

The operations led to a serious gun battle with the bandits where unspecified numbers of bandits were fatally injured with others escaping with possible gunshot wounds. 

The Commissioner said “While we parade some of the suspects arrested having completed our investigation, others who are undergoing discreet investigation could not be paraded now until investigation about their matter is concluded.”
