Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike has carried out inspection on the proposed office building complex expected to house the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development by President Bola Tinubu.
Wike, who during the inspection visit hailed the creation of the ministry also described it as a welcome idea.
The proposed office complex is located close to NNPCL head office in Abuja.
According to the minister: “We have a directive from Mr. President to go and immediately refurbish the place for the new Ministry of Livestock. That is why we went there to see things for ourselves”.
He explained that the FCT Administration would “get some companies to look at it and quote for it as an emergency work.
“Creation of the Ministry of Livestock is a welcome development, you can see people are happy, waiting for it to start. And so now that, that particular place has been identified, the President has instructed the FCT Administration, to look at it, which is okay, and we will now rehabilitate and furnish it, for the Ministry of Livestock take over”, he assured.
The Minister stressed that the FCT Administration would urgently take the “best and most responsive bidder that we know that government will afford to handle the job”.
