Experts Charge Nigerians to Support Govt Drive In Nations Building

A renowned coach, National Transformation Strategist and Global Speaker, and the convener of  the CentreStage live Conference 2021, Naomi Osemedua has encouraged Nigerians to support the government in the nation’s building.
Osemedua made this known while speaking in the conference  which was organised by the CentreStage International (CSI) in partnership with Ascend Studios Foundation for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)- A White House Initiative that supports Women Entrepreneurs around the World.

She  has advised Nigerians to be proactive in their endeavours and not wait on the government to do everything.

In a press conference in Abuja, at the end of the maiden edition of the CentresStage Live conference 2021With the theme- Changing the African Narrative through the Power of Storytelling, supported by TENT Group Limited, Convener, the CentreStage Conference and International, she explained that nigerians have to start up with something, saying ”You might not be able to change the policy of the government, however, what can you do? You can do something and that is the mindset every Nigerian needs to have.

“We cannot take away the hardships but we pray it gets better, but in the meantime, what can you do, and I said start from inside by helping your neighbour, child on street or taking extra food to feed security man that is hungry. There is everything we can do.

“My mission has always been on how every one of us can be the change we are looking for and I want to keep the conversation in that area otherwise, we just keep going around the cycle.

“With one person realising that the changes we are looking for start with every one of us, that is how Nigeria would be better. The truth is there are a lot of opportunities around us, sometimes we take them and some we don’t take them.

“One way to impact Nigeria positively is to take what I have learnt to share it with other people, not the depth of my knowledge but also invite people so that they can learn something good and that is what we were able to do this afternoon.”

She also revealed that a lot of women from the Northern community joined the conference via Instagram and YouTube, and they have heard and seen what we shared. One of them is here with us and told her story through art, and she would change the world through her art.

Speaking on emotional imbalance in our society today, she said it is a harsh reality and there is nobody that is not going through it, however, we have to get to the space of looking at each other as people.

”There are a lot of opportunities around us, sometimes we take them and sometimes we don’t take them. Everyone has a role to play, the change we are looking for won’t come from the government, you are Nigerian, and each one of us playing our role with that Nigeria will be better.

The President of The Association of African Startups, Just Ibe  while speaking on the  role of the citizens  stressed that she has no doubt that someday Africa will be able to compete with the rest of the world in all ramifications and African descendants will become a treasure.

Also ,the Keynote Speaker, Dr Akintoye Akindele delivering  his good will message said ”Africa is not our name, Africano discovered us hence the name Africa. Our identity is very important and we must know that Africa is “Mother of mankind”.

”Sadly, Africans sold ourselves when we stopped being our brother’s keeper and that’s why outsiders came to colonize us.

“The future is black, fertility is black and fertility is feminine and the future is feminine. Africa is feminine.”

“Our heritage has been rich and still rich. Africa is big, young and scaling. We are connecting, scaling and now know our stories.

“We are about to unleash our women to the world, our smart, hardworking, creative, dogged, caring female entrepreneurs to take over the world.” Dr. Akintoye Akindele said.

Similarly, during the conference a visual artist, the Chief Executives Officer of Art Cave Studio and Gallery, Maryam Maigida noted ”Passion and more of Patience will take you somewhere.” Being able to inspire people is so rewarding.

Furthermore, a non-profit Management Consultant, Ivarah Itofa started his NGO “Church on the Street” with only NGN700.00 just to feed a few kids but now, the organization has plans to build food banks in the world. “Provision always made for vision.” Ivarah Itofa said/.
