Former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has urged the contractor handling Potiskum-Gashua road project to speed up work.
Lawan, who disclosed this while flagging off the construction of the road, said the project would significantly enhance transportation and economic activities in Yobe State.
According to him, the improved road connectivity will facilitate the movement of goods and services, reduce travel time and enhance access to markets for our farmers and local entrepreneurs.
He noted that the road had long been a critical link for communities in the area and that its construction would bring multiple benefits.
“The road will also improve access to education and healthcare resources, ensuring that Yobeans can attain essential services more efficiently,” Lawan said.
He also urged the contractors and all stakeholders involved to adhere to the highest standards of quality and timeliness, ensuring that our people receive the best possible infrastructure.
Lawan said the road project is not just about infrastructure; it is a promise of a brighter future for Potiskum and its neighboring communities.
