Former governor of Borno State and one time national chairman of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has lost his mother, Haja Aisa, at the age of 93 .
An official statement by the Special Assistant on Media to the former governor, Kolo Adam, said Hajia Aisa died on sunday in Abuja after a protracted illness.
The statement described the deceased as a humanist per excellence who served Almighty Allah and her community with her talent and rich network.
AljazirahNigeria gathered that a condolence register have been opened in Sheriff’s personal residence along Damboa Road in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Late Hajja Aisha is survival by four children, three males and one Female, among them being the former governor.
Her funeral will be performed today (Monday) with a Zuhur prayer at the family residence along Damboa road in Maiduguri.
