Economic Hardship Will Cost Tinubu Re-election – NNPP

Date:

Kano State Chairman, New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Hashimu Dungurawa, has advised President Bola Tinubu to prepare for overwhelming defeat in 2027.

He said going by the alleged anti-masses policies of the Tinubu-led federal government, Nigerians had queued behind the party ahead of the the next general election.

He expressed optimism that NNPP would be victorious in the 36 states of the federation, including the presidential election.

“With your unfriendly anti-masses policies and your stance, just prepare for defeat in the next general election. You either change them or Nigerians will collectively change you,” Dungurawa said on Thursday.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano, he recalled that from his inauguration on May 29, 2023, Tinubu had been making life hard for Nigerians with his policies.

“From the podium on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu started reeling out anti-masses policies as if Nigerians had stepped on his toes. He kept slamming unfriendly policies on us, even up till today.

“With these challenges and many more deliberately created by the All Progressives Congress-led government, it is just a matter of time, as we will certainly ensure that Tinubu is out in 2027 and Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, a true democrat, steps in,” he said.

The chairman said the party had opened offices, as well as established structures in states and local government areas, stressing that the development is an indication that NNPP would win  state and federal seats in 2027.

He noted that the party recorded successes in 2024 and was on course to achieve more in 2025.

“You are  living witnesses that we are lucky to have a God-fearing governor who has restructured Kano State in terms of infrastructure, empowerment and human development.

“Kano can now compete favourably with any modern city globally, especially with the state-of-the-art facilities made available in the metropolitan and rural areas,” he said.

Dungurawa said the only challenge that the party faced was the alleged plan by the federal government to impose a one-party system on the country.

He, therefore, warned the federal government to intensify efforts to introduce human-friendly policies that would alleviate the sufferings of the masses.

He dismissed as false, rumours that the national leader of the party,  Kwankwaso is planning to return to the APC.

The NNPP chairman said the rumour was to tarnish Kwankwaso’s reputation and towering popularity.
