Concerned Christian Youths Forum has condemned the ongoing violence in Plateau and Benue States, calling for an immediate end to what they described as the senseless killing of innocent Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the group yesterday, the Convener, James Adama denounced the attacks, stating they are “an affront to natural justice and a gross violation of the sanctity and dignity of human life.”
Adama insisted that the current violence must not continue. “This human carnage must stop. The perpetrators of these atrocious acts must be brought to justice. All innocent and peace-loving people of this nation deserve to enjoy the safety and security that they are entitled to.”
The Forum charged the federal government to take urgent, bold and decisive steps to end the violence, while also ensuring that displaced and affected communities receive the support needed to heal and rebuild.
While commending the efforts of security agencies so far, the Forum urged them to intensify their operations to decisively tackle the threat. “To the gallant men and women of our security agencies, we extend our utmost gratitude for your tireless dedication and sacrifice. But we must ask that you redouble your efforts. The safety and well-being of our people must be guaranteed at all times.”
He emphasized that violence is not just a local tragedy, but a threat to the nation’s unity and survival, calling on all Nigerians to stand together in solidarity against terror and lawlessness.
“Together, let us summon the strength and courage to swiftly bring this crisis to an end.”
