DTSG To Partner Stakeholders On Oil Production

Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Peter Uviejitobor said the state government is ready to partner relevant stakeholders in the oil and gas industry for sustainable development.

Uviejitobor disclosed this yesterday while playing host to the Independent Crude Oil Marketers Association, ICOMAN, led by its Chairman, Comrade Paul Okperovwe in Asaba.

He assured them that government would ensure that the state maintains its position as the highest oil producing state in the country.

Earlier, the chairman of ICOMAN said they would collaborate with the state government, security agencies and relevant stakeholders in the oil and gas sector to increase oil production in the state to boost Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

Okperovwe added that the association is ready to work with security agencies to reduce oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the state, adding that they would report any illegal activity to the right authorities.
