Residents and business owners living in Makolomi Evueta and upper Agbarho areas in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have lamented the outrageous and estimated electricity bills dished out  to them by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company ( BEDC) on monthly basis , despite the usual epileptic power supply to the area, describing it as unprintable.

The residents through Mrs Edith Iyade said” we have calculated the bills, and everything is N20,000 monthly, we are shocked that BEDC can be so mean with such outrageous bills and how can we cope with the terrible issue of outrageous bills? “and appealed to the state and federal governments to come to their aid to completely eradicate the estimated billing system as described as ‘evil’. But BEDC business manager of the Ughelli Business Unit, Mr Bethel Evuiwhe in a swift reaction said that all complaints from customers would be looked into and necessary action would be taken, adding that the regrets by the residents was not necessary considering the circumstances surrounding the current billing system
