Delta 2023: I’ll Reactivate Sapele Port, Upgrade Sapele Technical College To Polytechnic

FROM MATTHIAS OGBAGAH, WARRI

The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege and the Delta APC governorship candidate for the 2023 election has assured Deltans of reviving the moribund Sapele seaport and upgrading Sapele Technical College to Polytechnic, if elected governor.

Sen. Omo-Agege gave the assurance in Sapele the headquarters of Sapele local government during the APC ward-to-ward campaign in the Sapele council area.

According to him, he know the importance of the seaport to Delta State and Nigeria as a whole hence he is determined to make Warri and its environs the ‘economic hub’, the economic nerve center of Delta State.

“Anything that will reopen any of these seaports in Delta State that will boost the economy of the state, Tinubu will do it. That is why we need him as our president and Ede Dafinone as our Senator.

” Tinubu wants to boost commerce of Delta State. Tinubu has determined that Delta State has conceived. Asaba is our State Capital. Asaba will be developed as our administrative capital and make Warri and its environs the ‘economic hub’, the economic nerve center of Delta State”.

While assuring the mammoth crowd that throne the campaign venue, he said, “I am committing to you today, this Sapele Technical College (STC) we are going to convert to Polytechnic because what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Why should the people of Owo-Alero enjoy university and the people of Sapele not enjoy Polytechnic?

” The NDDC road that was abandoned I will mandate NDDC to go to the site immediately to complete the project”.

Omo-Agege call on Sapele people to vote for Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu and others APC candidates in the forthcoming election so that the dividends of democracy can get to the doorsteps of all Deltans.

“We need proper partnership. See once you have a proper alignment between the State government and the federal government whatever you want you will get it.

Today we are having problems the reason is that at the federal we have a president (APC) but the state where they don’t want to work with us. But when I become governor of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu APC president all these things will be easy for us”.
