Declare Intention Within 30 Days, Group Tells Tambuwal

North East Amalgamated Association of 11 various groups have heartily called on the former Speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Honorable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Matawalle and Governor of Sokoto State to accept their calls and declare intention within 30 days to contest for the seat of Nigerian President come 2023.

Accordingly, the group vows to drag the former Speaker and Governor of Sokoto State to court if he fails to answer their respective calls.

The body made the unanimously endorsement during its North East Zonal meeting of Coordinators from various supporting groups of Tambuwal for President held at Re-Insurance House over the weekend in Bauchi.

According to the President of the Association: “The endorsement of Tambuwal was as a result of his track records and service delivery to humanity and to our great country “Nigeria” during his tenure as Speaker, Federal Republic of Nigeria, which brought about unity, integrity, peace, and justice to our their country, as well as numerous contributions to the party affairs both in the People Democratic Party PDP, and the All Progressive Congress APC, with a good legal advices respectively.

He further explained, that since the creation of the Sokoto State, the people of Sokoto of the Caliphate have never witnessed the real dividends of democracy like that of Tambuwal tenure in the areas of; education, health, security, rural and urban development, empowerment of youth and women across all the LGAs in the state.

He added that “These achievements became possible due to the Tambuwal experience, maturity and his faculty of understanding the various ethnicities, cultural diversity and religious differences.

The amalgamated body also declared that what Nigerians needed most was the right candidate of someone like Tambuwal to lead and take the country to the promised land in the forthcoming general election, 2023.

According to the 11 groups who also described as the only candidate who answered the 3 arms of a government definition,  “Executive as Governor of Sokoto, Legislature as former Speaker, and Judiciary as Legal practitioner, these qualified him to be our Nigerian next leader”,.

The Amalgamated Association thereafter, said it would also forward the copies of their demands to the Attorney General, Secretary to the State Government and State House of Assembly of Sokoto State over their intention against the Governor if he refused to act on their calls.

On her part, the women leader, Aisha Adamu Baturia, also called on the government to fulfill on it’s earlier promise for giving the women more slots in the Nigeria political system with a view to give them a sense of belonging.
