Dantata, PDP Donate N1.750bn To Maiduguri Flood Victims

Kano businessman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to the victims of flooding in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Dantata made the donation while leading a Kano delegation to the Government House in Maiduguri.

He expressed condolences to Governor Babagana Zulum, the government and  people of Borno State, particularly those who lost loved ones in the disaster.

In his response, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the elder statesman for his kind gestures towards the plight of the state, noting that the kind act shows hope in a greater Nigeria.

According to him, the people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me say it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims. May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba”, Zulum said.

In a similar development, the National Working Committee ,NWC, of the People Democratic Party ,PDP, under the Chairmanship of Amb Umar Iliya Damagun , on behalf of the party, has donated the sum of 25 million Naira to the flood victims.

Ambassador Umar said that the funds were mean to ease the victims suffering, aid recovery from the devastating of floods
