Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has announced that he has relocated his business from the Southeast to Lagos State

Cubana Chief Priest, told BBC Igbo in a recent interview that he was forced to move his business to Lagos State because of the worsening security situation in the Southeast, which made it untenable for him to continue operating in the region.

The socialite explained that the rampant kidnapping and killing in the East have created a climate of fear, driving away loyal customers who used to visit home regularly, leading to a significant loss of business and prompting his relocation to Lagos.

He said: “There is widespread hunger in the South-East. It is our own community members who provide criminals with information.

“Our people began targeting the wealthy, so the wealthy stopped returning home during festivities. That’s why I moved to Lagos to conduct my business.”
