Nigeria’s CNS secured a commanding 3-0 victory ,25-22, 25-21, 25-8, over Botswana’s Spiking Stars in Pool B on Friday at the ongoing CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship.
CNS controlled the match from start to finish, capitalizing on their opponents’ inexperience. Backed by an energetic crowd, they took the first set 25-22 and held their nerve in a competitive second set, winning 25-21. In the third set, CNS exploited gaps in the Spiking Stars’ defense and closed out the match with a dominant 25-8 finish.
Meanwhile, Egyptian powerhouse Ahly cruised past Sococim of Senegal with a resounding 3-0 ,25-10, 25-14, 25-6, win in Pool C. Ahly dictated the pace from the outset, overwhelming Sococim with relentless attacks and sharp execution. The Egyptians breezed through the sets, sealing a convincing victory with a crushing 25-6 finish in the third.
