Civil Servants Tasked To Observe Service Rules, Regulations – Perm Sec

The need for staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to be more alive to their responsibility of moving the basic education sub-sector forward has been emphasized.

Media aide to the Board Abbas Tukur Sanyinna in a release said the newly posted Permanent Secretary of the Board Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i Ibrahim made the call shortly after taking over the affairs of the Board from the outgoing Permanent Secretary Alhaji Faruku Shehu (TAFIDANKWARE).

Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i said the call became necessary considering the commitment of Governor Tambuwal’s administration toward improving the standard of education in the state.

He warned staff of the Board that henceforth it is no longer business as usual with regards to punctuality to work as well as supervision and monitoring of schools and all projects under the Board. 

The Permanent Secretary used the medium to challenge all the teaching and non teaching staff under the Board to shun laxity and absconding work places. 

He also promised harmonious working relationship with all the staff of the Board for the attainment of the set goals.

Earlier, the outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Faruku Shehu told his predecessor that he really enjoyed cordial working relationship with all the management staff of the Board throughout his stay as both Secretary and Permanent Secretary. 

Alhaji Faruku Shehu similarly tasked the Directors and other senior officials of the Board to extend similar support to his predecessor for the overall development of SUBEB. 

He as well wished the new Permanent Secretary Allah’s guidance for the rest of his stay as Permanent Secretary.

The handing and taking over ceremony was witnessed by the outgoing Director Administration of the Board Alhaji Isma’il S Abubakar who is promoted to the position of Director General, and all the directors of the board.
