Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of Dr Sa’id Kori as Special Adviser on International Relations and Development and Technical Advisor to the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi.
According to the statement, Dr Kori’s appointment is in recognition of his past records of performance, dedication and personal commitment to the development of the state.
The SSG conveyed the governor’s congratulations to the appointee, describing the position as “exalted” and a call to greater service.
Kori holds a doctorate degree from the University of Liverpool, Masters from the University of Salford and Bachelors degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Technology Yola.
Also, as chairman and chief executive of Thinklab Group Limited and former general manager at Family Home Funds, he possesses deep expertise in development finance and cross-border investment.
“Kori, a lecturer at the University of Liverpool, Yobe State University and others, and a seasoned board leader, BIM Africa, Fulus Capital, worked in over 34 countries which has equipped him with unparalleled insights into global development diplomacy.
His vast international network and proven leadership will significantly enhance his engagement with multilateral partners and accelerate progress across the Lake Chad Basin.
