Like those of its ilk, Believers Economic Empowerment Network BEENET is doing its part in the humanitarian sector and is reaching out not just to the underprivileged and vulnerable, but many others seeking its assistance whether in skills, health, and empowerment of various sorts, particularly those passing through trying times.

BEENET an Abuja religious Non-Governmental organization in the last three years of its existence has put several initiatives in Tundun-Wada Community Lugbe an initiative that has brought restoration unity and Love among the people for the progress and prosperity of the country.

BEENET Initiative in the Tudunwada community has been at fore forefront of harnessing young talents within the communities for the kingdom and mentoring them to use their talents for the benefit of society.

Among the interventions put in place to right the wrong in the communities, which include, Bible quizzes for children, skill acquisition, and empowerment for vulnerable ones among others saw the charities impact thousands of people young and old across the Tundun-Wada Community community that populated with about 100,000 residents in Lugbe Lugbe area in Nigeria’s capital city.

In truth, an integral objective of the organization has been to put joyous smiles on the faces of indigent people, be they young, old, or adult, without discrimination to gender.

Speaking at this year’s edition of the Bible bee quiz, recitation on Friday in the Tundun Wada Community in Abuja, the founder and Executive Director if the BEENET initiative Sandra Iroanya expressed that she desires to see a revival of love, unity, and peace in the community

According to her, our emphasis is on community-based, community-driven. We go into Communities, we try to unite the believers, you know, so that together as the body of Christ Within communities, we can come together and transform the community that is our objective

“We have been working little by little and the Tundun Wada community is the very first community where we have been engaging, though we equally have our eyes on another two communities Tundun Wada is like like our prototype.”

Speaking on the area of empowerment, the executive Director said BEENET is a Christian organization, right? Our emphasis is to be the light that is what scripture says, that the church of Jesus is the light of the world,

“And there is darkness everywhere, and the church is supposed to be the solution, so what we do is we go into communities, and this is the message we take to them, We say, see, instead of, you know, every church just sitting in their various denominations and buildings and all of that, can we, irrespective of the denomination come together, within the communities that we are in and see what we can do in the community.

“There are a lot of things happening in the communities, you know. I mean, the youths, look at the moral decadence, there is poverty, occultism, prostitution, people are crying, no food, elderly people, there are health challenges, and there are many challenges, and the scripture is not just about spiritual needs only spirit, soul, and body need to be Okay.”

One of the members of the community Pastor Felix Omiji applauded BEENET who has in the last few years brought hope and transformation to the community.

According to him, BEENET has been doing a lot of community assistance, to make sure that the community transformed

“Like what we know in those days, like in our days, community-trained children, from one house to another, but right now we don’t see that in communities. But with the coming of BEENET here that has changed.

“People begin to love themselves the way they ought to. And you can see right now what is happening among the youth. A lot is going on. The children are being brought up in the way of God. And that is why we have a Bible quiz going on right now.

“And not only that, the elders, they love themselves. They are united coming together, bringing them together. One unit in one body and they are working together as brothers and sisters. That ought to be from the beginning. They take care of one another. And how did they do such? Because we have what we call a food bank, you can contribute your little quota to the food bank.

“It may be a cup of rice or a cup of beans. Or whatever you have, you can contribute to that food bank so that those who don’t have, we give to them from the food bank, though honestly, the community has truly transformed from one level to another level,

“Also, we have a lot of rascality among the youth boys with coming of BEENET that has reduced a lot because the pastors are engaging them and bringing them together to say, look, look, this is not the only thing you can do. You can help yourself. You can do better than this. And you can be a better person than you are right now.”

As for elated Sunday Chinedu my joy is that Beenet doesn’t have a particular organization that says you are a Redeemed, are a Catholic or Apostolic, or Dunamite it’s all denominations coming together to transform the community

“Before I became a member of Beenet on Friday I didn’t go anywhere I just stayed idle wasting my time, when I got to know about Beenet I am no longer wasting my time anytime I come to Beenet I got impacted  Beenet has helped me to unleashed my talent.

“The bible bee competition has helped me to know God’s words and renew spiritually, mentally, and socially and I am happy.

“Beenet is a place of joy for me, they are motivators, they changed my life, and with this when I grow hope I will have something like this so I can equally impact many lives.”

Meanwhile, this year’s Bible bee competition saw many competitions where the children displayed their talent to the core.

However, at the end of the 2024 Bible Bee Competition, Chinedu Sunday  came as the overall winner Treasure Bright came second while Abigail Barnabas and  Esther Mbila jointly won the third position

In the Bible Recitation category, Esther Mbila and Treasure Bright came (1st), Chinedu Sunday (2nd) and Peculiar Chukueben won the third position.
