Barnabas Imenger jnr joins Algerian club, MC Alger

Another high-profile move has been recorded from the Nigeria Professional Football League abroad in the ongoing summer transfer windows which has been quite busy.
The latest player on the move is Nigeria international Barnabas Imenger Jnr who has been snapped up by Algerian Ligue1 side, MC Alger on a  2-year deal from NPFL side, Lobi Stars

Imenger has 8 caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and FCNaija.

com understands that he would pocket as much as N3.1m (7500 euros) in monthly salary from this move.

While speaking to the Algerian press, the Nigerian star was emphatic that he will be scoring goals aplenty for his new club.

He said: “I came to the MCA to score goals. It’s my second experience outside of Nigeria, as I played in Swedish Liga 2. ”

Speaking on his choice of the Algerian club, Imenger said: ” I chose this experience to restart my career and especially to find the selection.

“In fact, when my agent told me about the Mouloudia, I surfed On the net and I found that this club is an ambitious club that wants to reach the summit. A very good sports project that matches my ambition. So I accepted the deal. he added.

MC Alger were runners-up in the Algerian Ligue 1 last season but they would be hoping to challenge for the title this season especially with their latest Nigerian acquisition.
