Azibaola Family Calls For Immediate Release Of Kidnapped Brother

Family of Engr. Azibaola Robert, founder of Zeetin Engineering, has called for the immediate and unconditional release of their elder brother, Mr Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, in Bayelsa State.

According to Engr.

Azibaola in a statement signed by his media aide, Austin Ekeinde, and made available to newsmen on Thursday, Mr Yekorogha, a Yenagoa-based prominent politician and businessman in his 50s, was kidnapped around 8:40pm on Monday, January 24, 2022, in front of his house at Biogbolo in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, “by four gunmen in black uniform.

The statement added that the gunmen seized the victim at gunpoint in his car and forced him into their own vehicle and zoomed off to an unknown destination.

According to the statement: “In the last few days we have been inundated with inquiries by well-meaning Nigerians and the media for confirmation of the kidnap of our sibling.

“Consequently, this statement has become necessary to clarify the situation.

“This incident was reported to the law-enforcement agencies immediately it happened and is receiving maximum attention,” it added.

The family, however, thanked well-meaning Nigerians who had shown concern over the incident through phone calls and visits.

It further appreciated the Bayelsa Police Commissioner and the director of the Department of State Services, DSS, for their determined efforts so far towards the release of the victim.
