Army Arrests Soldier For Stealing Ammunition In Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri, Borno State, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, have confirmed the arrest of a soldier, Corporal Francis Bako, for allegedly stealing ammunition.

Counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, Mr Zagazola Malama, revealed that Bako was arrested by military intelligence operatives at Kano Motor Park in Maiduguri, following a tip-off.

He also said the soldier is currently in the custody of the military for further action.”

According to sources, the soldier, who is from Mallam Fatori, was heading to  Kaduna before he was accosted and found to be in possession of 602 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
