AOIYEO Celebrates CHRICED Executive Director, Comrade Zikirullahiat At 60

Abuja Original Inhabitant Youth Empowerment Organisation( AOIYEO), on Friday celebrated the Executive Director of Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED), Comrade Dr. Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, as he clocked 60 years.

AOIYEO in a statement in Abuja, eulogised the celebrant on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

AOIYEO president, Commandant Isaac David, described the celebrant as a beacon of hope in the realms of human rights, social justice, and democratic principles.
Isaac noted that Zikirullahi’s journey through life has been marked by an unwavering passion for justice and a deep compassion for humanity.
He said “affectionately called “Comrade Zik” among his peers in the human rights community, he embodies the qualities of bravery and resilience. His steadfast commitment to fostering a better world is evident in every initiative he undertakes.

“As we celebrate his birthday today, we take a moment to reflect on his relentless endeavours to uplift marginalized communities, ensure accountability among leaders, and advocate for the rights of all individuals, regardless of their background. His tireless commitment to human rights and anti-corruption efforts has spanned many years, earning him both national and international acclaim and respect”.

He added that under his visionary executive guidance at CHRICED and across Nigeria’s civil society, comrade Zik has spearheaded numerous initiatives and campaigns that empower citizens to assert their rights and demand accountability from their leaders.
“His altruism, extensive knowledge, and fervor for justice have inspired a new generation of human rights advocates and social activists. He has not only been a mentor but also a source of inspiration for many who aspire to make a difference in their communities “Isaac said.

Speaking further he said “As we commemorate ‘The World Zik Day’ alongside the global community, we pay tribute to his steadfast courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to building a more just and equitable society. His work transcends borders, influencing human rights discourse and activism far beyond Nigeria. We celebrate his immeasurable contributions, which have left profound impact on the human rights landscape in Nigeria and beyond.

“In honouring Comrade Zik, we also recognize the collective responsibility we share in continuing his legacy. His life’s work serves as a reminder that the fight for human rights is ongoing and that each of us has a role to play in advocating for justice and equality. As we celebrate this significant milestone, let us reaffirm our commitment to the principles he stands for, the principles that we holds dear, and strive to carry forward the torch of human rights advocacy that he has so passionately ignited.
