Anger In Delta Community As Police Arrest Murderers Of Teenager

The police anti crime team of Ogwashi UkU Police Division near Asaba Delta State in the early hours of thursday arrested four suspected youths in the Community for alleged Complicity in a murder of a teenager identified as Chukwudi
Ashibogu last Tuesday.
It was gathered that the incident which allegedly led to the teenager”s death was said to have been the Fall out of a cult clash between two rival groups in the Community on the fateful Tuesday while the annual festival lasted.
The police public Relations Officer in the state,DSP Andrew Aniamaka who Confirmed the arrest of the four youths to Journalists in Asaba at a media briefing on Thursday, gave the names of the Suspects as,Chekube Fredrick, Sunday Akhaka,Ebelechukwu Henry and Emeka George, adding” the police acted on Intelligence gathering after the incident as the four Suspects were fingered, Investigation is ongoing, and on completion of investigation, the Suspects will be charged to court”.
He said that the assilants for no reason adduced, Succeeded in apprehending the victim and  dragged him into a hideout somewhere in Idumu Osemu quarters in Ubulu Uku Community near Ogwashi Uku where he was allegedly beaten to death.
According to the Police public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka,” the Assilants took the victim to a hideout somewhere in Ubulu Uku community close to Ogwashi UkU where they beaten him to death despite his alleged plea with them to spare his life, and they dumped his body in an open ground where passers-by stumbled on him to raise the alarm that attracted people to the scene,”.
It was garthered that the victim  a student in Asaba visited his community to partake in the celebration of the Ine festival when on Tuesday,when he  met his untimely death in the hands of Suspected Cultists.
But the police public Relations Officer in the state,DSP Andrew Aniamaka speaking further, said” two of the Suspects are currently at large, The police will do everything possible to bring them to book, the victim is Just 15 years old and his parents sent him to Asaba to attend Asagba mixed Secondary School, we are still investigating the incident and the Suspects have made useful statements to the police”.
 He also confirmed that Ogwashi Uku community in the recent times have been under seige of rival cult groups adding no fewer than six persons have been Killed in the last few months by members the Cult groups during their rival clashes.
He said” the police have arrested many of these groups members and charged to court,we will continue to do the needful and ensure cultism is stamped out of the state”
