Alleged Sports Federation Elections Violator, Victor Godwin, Remanded In Kuje Prison

One of the violators of the Table Tennis Federation in Nigeria’s Capital City, Abuja, Victor Godwin, has been remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre as the magistrate court refused his bail.

The Magistrate Court sitting at Mpape, on Monday, denied Godwin bail, and he was sent to Kuje prison.

Godwin was one of the attackers of a current commissioner in Cross-River State, Hon. Ekanem Ekpeyong, in last Thursday’s Table Tennis Federation’s zonal and presidential elections at the Moshood Abiola national stadium, Abuja.

AljazirahNigeria Sports was on ground and reported that the immediate past Commissioner in the Cross River state, Orok Duke, came to the election venue with two truck-loads of thugs who invaded the venue, beat the incumbent commissioner, Hon. Ekanem Ekpeyong, who came to represent the state to stupor, thanks to the prompt intervention of Nigerian police who drove the thugs out of the stadium before the election was held.

It would be recalled that the South-South zonal representative Board member in the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade, defeated Orok Duke with 4-0 after he was accused of failing to take any development to the region during his 16 years on the board of the federation.

Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade whitewashed Duke 4-0 to win the South-South zonal representative at the Nigeria Table tennis Federation election in one of the fierce federation’s elections.
