Again, Senator Oyewumi Empowers Constituents

Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, yesterday, reiterated his continuous efforts in making life more bearable for his constituents.

Senator Oyewumi made this known while addressing large numbers of the PDP faithfuls during the empowerment initiative programme he organised for his constituents at the AUD School, Ikire in supporting the community and fostering economic growth.

The initiative, tagged, “Empowering Our Future”, focused on providing financial grants, equipping individuals with the skills and resources needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market, and helping them launch their own businesses.

“This initiative is about more than just providing financial assistance”, said Senator Oyewumi. “It’s about investing in our people and giving them the tools they need to build a better future for themselves and their families. We believe that by empowering our constituents, we can create a stronger and more prosperous community”.

Senator Oyewumi has a long history of supporting community development initiatives. He has previously spearheaded programs focused on improving healthcare access, promoting youth education, and revitalizing local businesses. This new empowerment program is expected to further solidify his reputation as a champion for his constituents.

Senator Oyewumi and his entourage in the morning commissioned the reconstruction of the 1.2 km Obada New Road to Wakajaye Junction in Gbongan, the construction and rehabilitation of blocks of classrooms at St. David Anglican Grammar School, Ode Omu, and Community High School Odeyinka, Ikire.

According to Ikire born politician, the school, once dilapidated and lacking basic facilities, now boasts of six new blocks of 18 classrooms, a library, halls, a dedicated science laboratory, staff rooms, and a principal’s office. 

“A new motorized borehole ensures access to clean water for the entire school, and the construction and rehabilitation of classrooms, a borehole, toilets, and a generator at Community High School Odeyinka, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government”.

The colourful and well attended programmes witnessed cutting of the birthday cake for Senator Oyewumi who attained 65 years old yesterday.
