ADC Presidential Aspirant Promises Quality Leadership

A presidential aspirant under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dr Chike Okogwu has promised to use his wealth of experience and expertise to tackle the challenges facing the country if elected into office in next year’s general election. 

Dr Okogwu , a disability advocate and person with disability decried the failure of past leaders in addressing the major challenges that has befallen the country, adding that what the country needs now is a government by men of honour and integrity that will deliver democratic dividends to the electorates. He therefore urged the electorates to choice leaders with talent and capacity in next years election.

He spoke yesterday at the African Democratic Congress ADC  national secretariat Abuja after obtaining the party’s expression of interest and nomination form to contest for the party’s presidential ticket for the 2023 general election. 

Unfolding his agenda, Okogwu who lamented that brigandage and miscreants  have taken over the political system and leadership of the country said he will run an inclusive government that will take care of the vulnerable in the society, including women , children and the elderly.

He said, “Over five decades nothing much has changed, as a child, we were promised that we are the leaders of tomorrow, we must take it by force, our Mumu don due, what we have today is mediocracy. What Nigeria need is a government by men of honour and integrity. Brigandage and Agboro’s have taken over the political system.

Today I stand up even if though  I can’t stand up physically, I stand up to be counted.  Leaders must be chosen to lead according to their ability, talent and capacity, I submit myself today to aspire  for the president of Nigeria, I am ready to die for this country”

Okogwu who disclosed that he will work with technocrats urged political parties to remove all barriers  affecting people with disabilities PWD  from participation in politics, promising to continue to sensitize them to participate in electing their leaders.
