ADC holds Retreat For its Candidates, Picks Malik Sani As VP


Ahead of next years general election, African Democratic Congress, ADC, has organized a two days retreat for its Candidates across the country to sensitize and prepare them for the task ahead.

This is even as the National Working Committee NWC of the party has nominated Malik Sani as its vice presidential candidate.

Speaking to newsmen at the retreat, the party’s presidential candidate, Hon Dumebi Kachikwu  said the retreat was to assess the performance of the party and to strategize on how to win the 20233 election.

Kachikwu said ” We’re having a two day retreat, this retreat  addresses three issues. Its post convention issues. State of the states and the way forward for us as a party.

“I’m sure you are aware that ADC outside of the two better known parties ADC is the third party that has structure in all the states. So have all asked the chairman for the 60s here.

“We have our guber candidates for those states and we have the NWC and the BOT members here reviewing our performance, how our convention went with the Wii in the strength of the states and their readiness for the next elections.

“And also coming up with a strategy of elections that local politics is local reviewing strategy for all the states so that we can harmonize with the presidential campaign on what the present presidential campaign will do”.

Earlier, National Chairman of the party,  chief Ralph Okey Nwosu said the party was able to meet the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC deadline for submission of candidates name, adding that the emergence of Sani as the party’s running mate was a unianimious decision.

He noted that the party conducted transparent presidential primary in line with INEC guide line contrary to claims by an aggrieved aspirant.
