Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission ,ADSIEC, Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Uma, has said that the body is ready to conduct credible elections in the 4,104 poling units in the 21 Local Government Areas ,LGAs.
Uma said this during an interactive session with newsmen in Yola yesterday.
He said that the non sensitive materials for the exercise had been distributed across the LGAs and that the sensitive materials would be distributed on Thursday, starting with the hard-to-reach areas.
The ADSIEC boss said that 12 political parties would participate in the election, adding that all the candidates were screened and confirmed qualified.
“We are 100% logistically ready for the election.
“And we have trained all the ad hock staff to ensure successful election and we are relying on voters registered by the INEC”, he said.
Umar further said that the commission, with the support of the Police and other security agencies, would ensure safety and security of voters during and after the exercise.
He debunked the allegation that the commission had already printed the election results, saying “that is not true”.
